Game input holds PET matrix keys down until you physically release them, which is best for arcade games. Type input keeps the original short-tap queue for entering BASIC commands.
Charset Auto lets PET software switch normally. Graphics or Business forces the selected character ROM for compatibility/testing.
Changing RAM or ROM resets the PET. Some programs need ROM2/ROM4 or 16K/32K.
The sound slider controls the emulated PET VIA speaker. Modern browsers require a click before audio can start, so Start Game also enables audio.
The emulator has an IEEE-488 device at address 8 for loading/saving .prg files.

Game Notes
Acquire is a classic board game designed by Sid Sackson and originally published in 1962 by 3M as part of their bookshelf game series. It was later acquired and republished by Avalon Hill, a well-known game publisher, in 1976. The game is centered around strategic investment and corporate mergers, where players buy and trade stocks in fictional hotel chains to accumulate wealth. The goal is to have the most money by the end of the game, which is triggered when a single hotel chain reaches a certain size or all possible mergers are completed.
The gameplay involves placing tiles on a grid to form or expand hotel chains, which can then be merged with other chains. Players strategically invest in these chains, aiming to maximize their returns when mergers occur. The game is known for its blend of strategy, negotiation, and luck, making it a favorite among board game enthusiasts. Sid Sackson, the designer, is celebrated for his innovative game mechanics and is considered one of the most influential board game designers of the 20th century.
Avalon Hill's version of Acquire maintained the core mechanics of the original but included updated components and rules clarifications. The game has seen multiple reprints and editions over the years, including versions by Hasbro and other publishers. It remains a highly regarded title in the board gaming community, often praised for its depth and replayability. There is no evidence to suggest that the creators of Acquire were involved in writing Commodore PET games, as the game predates the personal computer era and is unrelated to digital gaming.
