Charset Auto lets PET software switch normally. Graphics or Business forces the selected character ROM for compatibility/testing.
Changing RAM or ROM resets the PET. Some programs need ROM2/ROM4 or 16K/32K.
The sound slider controls the emulated PET VIA speaker. Modern browsers require a click before audio can start, so Start Game also enables audio.
The emulator has an IEEE-488 device at address 8 for loading/saving .prg files. D64 disk images can also be inspected for PRG files.
About Trainyard
Trainyard is a train game for the Commodore PET, released in 2023. The game was programmed by Jim Orlando and published by Jim Orlando. This version is available in English. Game Notes
Although I have now written 13 Commodore PET/CBM games and ported a few of those to the Commander X16, this is my first time writing a game for the Commodore 64. And it is also really the first time I've worked with colour, pixel-level graphics and sprites on an 8-bit machine. Hope you enjoy the game no matter what platform you play it on!
