Attack! is a lesser-known game developed by Parry Gripp and published by CodeWorks - Cursor for the Commodore PET. Parry Gripp, who later gained fame as a musician and songwriter, was involved in early computer game development during the 1980s. CodeWorks - Cursor was a small software company that produced games for the Commodore PET, a popular personal computer in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
The game Attack! is a text-based strategy game where players engage in tactical combat scenarios. It was designed to run on the limited hardware of the Commodore PET, utilizing its monochrome display and keyboard input. The gameplay likely involved turn-based mechanics, typical of strategy games from that era, though specific details about the game's mechanics or storyline are scarce due to its obscurity.
Unfortunately, there is very little documented information available about Attack! today, as it was not widely distributed or reviewed. The game remains a niche piece of retro gaming history, primarily of interest to collectors and enthusiasts of early Commodore PET software. Parry Gripp's involvement in its development is one of the few confirmed facts about the game.
